\\ Held between November 28 to December 02, the fourth edition of PARALELA occured in a very unstable political moment.

In that scenario, the event had no sponsorship. It was facilitated through an intern edital of UFU itself, with the PROSSIGA edital (Institutional Programme of Assisted Graduation), of the Pró-reitoria de Graduação, who funded the arrival of one of the guests. The Arts Institute (IARTE), also funded the participation of one the guests. It also had the support of MUnA, the University Arts Museum with the liberation of the physical space for activities.
Central for this year’s edition, was the partnership with the Provisório Corpo Grupo de Dança, with the direction of Ricardo Alvarenga. At the event’s opening, the debut of the work Dispositivo Coreográfico took place. The schedule for the 2018’s edition also included the work of the project Circulandô, UFU’S Professional Dance Internship Program
Despite the pessimist climate and the concern that was lodged after the presidential election of 2018, PARALELA was held by the engagement of the artistic community to set positionings, to get ready for a fight, and by the desire of doing it together.
